The OpportunityIn this role you will have the opportunity to: Provide engineering and construction related senior project management and technical oversite of planning, design, analyses, and studies for Heavy Civil projects prticularly Dams, Hydropower, and Mining projects. Function as engineering manager supporting project and pursuit teams on Dams and other Heavy Civil projects. Supervise or advise multi-discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity. Provide senior independent review and quality assurance review of Dams, Hydropower, and Mining projects.  Support business development for Dams and other Heavy Civil projects.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Business
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulatory requirements for dams and hydropower clients

Responsibilities

  • Support geotechnical and Heavy Civil Business Line projects including Dams, Mining, and Hydro Practice Pursuits.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff and review lower-level engineering work or assignments.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for an assigned portion of a major project or the total project of moderate scope.
  • Regularly and actively participate in regional business development calls.
  • Develop and implement a strategy of focused communications with clients and competitors.
  • Actively work with BV management to identify, develop, coordinate, and implement major business pursuits and growth strategies.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and mentoring the Dams Group staff.
  • Develop contacts and perform business development activities with key existing and potential clients.
  • Lead major proposal efforts and delegate/review smaller project proposals.
