About The Position

Background check, US Citizenship, CAC, and a sercret security clearance are requirements of this position. Travel is 5%. Inventories, receives, and stores all Damage Control (DC) equipment within the DC Warehouse. Maintains the cleanliness of assigned areas within the facility, to include but not limited to maintaining cleanliness of office spaces, clean within the warehouse area, ensures outside structure is free of debris and clutter. Operates government equipment and coordinates the download of DC equipment and material when deliveries arrive. Assist Ships Force with inspecting the drop of damage control equipment and material to ensure we keep the most current re-issue items. Provides list and palletizes material that is no longer useable for disposal to DRMO. Operational understanding of and ability to operate a pallet jack. Capable of troubleshooting and minor repairs of DC equipment. Perform basic maintenance and cleanliness tasks of assigned areas of responsibility within the facility, to include but not limited to maintaining office cleanliness, broom cleanliness of warehouse spaces, submission of trouble calls for assigned areas for the repairs beyond the scope of this contract such as repair of facility equipment. Provide basic task oversight to up to three temporarily assigned Sailors while at the facility who will perform logistical support to this position as needed. Provide on-site subject matter expert response to in-person, telephone or e-mail inquiries or concerns regarding the CNSL Damage Control Re-use during normal office hours if not already engaged in out of office CNSL Damage Control Re-use matters.

Requirements

  • Background check, US Citizenship, CAC, and a sercret security clearance are requirements of this position.
  • Two (2) years experience working with Navy Shipboard damage Control (DC) equipment and policies.
  • Two (2) years experience working with general building management, inventory control, for receiving and distributing parts.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across warehouse for various needs.
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather to transport or load and unload equipment.
