About The Position

The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily dairy operations to ensure exceptional product quality, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role helps lead associates, maintains freshness standards, and supports sales and operational goals while ensuring the dairy department is clean, organized, and well‑stocked at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dairy, grocery, or retail operations preferred
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management and food safety practices
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to lift, stock, and move product within company weight guidelines
  • Ability to work refrigerated environments for extended periods
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Support daily dairy department operations including stocking, rotation, ordering, and shrink control
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of dairy products following FIFO procedures
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in all dairy areas
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory management to ensure in‑stock conditions
  • Execute company merchandising standards, planograms, and promotional displays
  • Monitor product dates and promptly address expired or damaged items
  • Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers with product questions and needs
  • Support department leadership in achieving sales, shrink, and labor performance goals
  • Help train, coach, and support dairy associates on daily tasks and expectations
  • Reinforce productivity, accountability, and teamwork within the department
  • Lead by example and provide guidance during assigned shifts
  • Communicate effectively with department and store leadership
  • Follow all company policies, food safety guidelines, and health regulations
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and refrigeration systems
  • Complete required logs, temperature checks, and food safety documentation accurately
