Requirements

• Knowledge of dairy products, pricing, and store layout
• Understanding of food safety, quality standards, and proper product handling
• Familiarity with customer service procedures and retail best practices
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
• Ability to operate store equipment such as balers and electrical equipment safely
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in cold environments including coolers and freezers
• Flexibility to assist in other grocery departments and perform cashier duties as needed
• Ability to comply with company policies, safety procedures, and dress code standards

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in the daily operation of the Dairy Department, including supervision and training of associates
• Ensure dairy products are properly ordered, received, stocked, rotated, and merchandised to company standards
• Maintain product quality by monitoring expiration dates, removing spoilage, and keeping shelves clean and organized
• Deliver excellent customer service by engaging customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner
• Support inventory control, backroom organization, and department standards including displays and seasonal items
• Train and coach associates on dairy stocking, conditioning, safety, and company procedures
• Monitor cooler and case temperatures to ensure food safety and quality standards are met
• Assist with department merchandising, special promotions, and reclaim processes as needed
