About The Position

Dairy Operator- Erlanger, KY PURPOSE: To perform all duties necessary to safely manufacture quality Dairy formulations for shipment to Wild customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work safely. Use training and daily awareness to ensure the safety of all Wild employees and visitors. Report unsafe conditions (and any equipment breakdowns) to Dairy or other Team Leaders. Operate all dairy blending systems according to instructions, including homogenizers, filters and metal detectors (simultaneously if necessary). Clean the above equipment and entire work area as assigned (including Master Sanitation Schedule). Read, understand and follow all manufacturing instructions listed on Manufacturing Orders. Check and add all pre-weighed materials listed on Manufacturing Orders. If necessary, precisely weigh raw materials and intermediates as listed on Manufacturing Orders. Follow QC and sampling procedures. Report QC deviations to Team Leaders. Execute rework and formula adjustments according to QC and formula requirements. Package and sample products according to customer requirements as listed on Order Headers and other documents. Report yield or any other deviations to Team Leaders. Execute all required transactions on the AS400 terminals and hand held scanners. Follow all Kosher, USDA, and other regulatory procedures and requirements. Follow ISO9001, GMP and HACCP procedures to ensure product safety. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned. SUPERVISION: This is a moderately supervised position. WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer prior operational experience in a flavor, food, pharmaceutical or chemical company. Willingness to work safely and foster a team environment. Ability to learn computer transactions from menu screens. In house candidates must show above average job performance and have no more than 1 current Written Disciplinary Warning. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, Walking, Stair climbing, Communicating, Lifting (routinely up to 50#’s, occasionally up to 100#’s with assistance). WORK ENVIRONMENT: Plant.
