Seasonal Daily Designer + Studio Assistant

Flowers for Dreams is ushering in a craft flower movement. Locally crafted flowers for fair and honest prices across locations in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, as well as overnight shipping to most of the Great Lakes region. We are looking for a dedicated Daily Designer + Studio Assistant to prepare, design, and wrap bouquets, arrangements, subscriptions, and routes for our daily delivery orders. The Daily Designer + Studio Assistant is an extremely punctual, efficient, hardworking individual comfortable working with their hands and on their feet. You love being around plants and flowers, and working with a team in a fast-paced environment! You’ll be responsible for following floral recipes, studio upkeep, making sure each route has all the flowers and materials needed, and ensuring each item is of top quality. This is a temporary position for our Valentine's Day operation. However, outstanding candidates are often asked to return regularly!
Responsibilities
- Wrap bouquets and arrangements for our daily delivery orders
- Design bouquets and arrangements by following a recipe
- Clean and prep glassware and vases
- Assist floral designers with basic preparation and processing
- Ensuring top quality of all daily delivery flowers and materials
- Clean and organize studio after each shift
- Assemble delivery boxes
- Occasional heavy lifting
- Working with your hands and on your feet
