Albertsons’ Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) Strategic Sourcing Organization is undergoing a significant transformation, with an emphasis on system and data-driven changes aimed at increasing spend under management and identifying cost savings opportunities for the company.  The newly established Data Analytics, Insights, and Compliance (DAIC) Team is dedicated to enhancing productivity and ensuring sourcing compliance by leveraging data insights, implementing controls, generating reports, and effectively communicating findings. The Strategic Sourcing Data & Compliance Analyst will be a core member of the Strategic Sourcing and DAIC  teams. This position will build and manage the compliance requirements for GNFR  Strategic Sourcing, including but not limited to: strategic sourcing policy development, ensuring policy alignment, jointly establishing sourcing and procurement compliance controls, monitoring and reporting on compliance. Additionally, the analyst will  support data analytics projects, automation, development of dashboards and reports and enabling broader sourcing transformation and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business analytics, data science, finance, or related field
  • One to two years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement compliance, data science, auditing, or analytics
  • Familiarity with procurement policies, controls, sourcing workflows, analytical frameworks, and compliance standards
  • Experience with data validation, exception handling, and governance processes; preferred experience in policy management, supplier compliance, or internal audit frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in presenting data insights to stakeholders.
  • An analytical mindset, capable of deriving meaningful insights from data and presenting the findings to senior leaders in an effective and confident manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Collaborative team player capable of working independently and across cross-functional teams. Growth mindset with a keen interest in evolving technology, sourcing policy, and analytics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or other analytics tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to Source-to-Pay systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Vendor and Contract Management Systems) is preferred or a demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage GNFR sourcing policies, including drafting, maintaining, version-controlling, publishing, and ensuring all documentation is accessible, auditable, and up to date.
  • Establish and manage a sourcing governance framework and policy committee to keep policies current, consistent, and aligned with compliance and procurement objectives.
  • Act as the central point of contact across departments for sourcing policy guidance, updates, exceptions, and approvals.
  • Lead sourcing policy compliance reporting by monitoring adherence, tracking violations, and escalating issues to sourcing leadership as needed.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate other compliance risks
  • Support data analytics requests and projects, ad hoc analysis, data support, and cross-functional insights related to spend, sourcing activity, or compliance trends.
  • Maintain dashboards, validate data, and report on sourcing performance, policy effectiveness and KPIs.
  • Support enterprise goals by collaborating with sourcing managers and analytics leads to  ensure accurate and actionable insights
  • Engage in data quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to better align sourcing policy with real-world operational practices.
