Requirements

ASCP certification as a registered Cytotechnologist.
Experience in clinical laboratory disciplines sufficient to allow certification under one of the Cytotechnologist (CT) Certifying Agencies' examination routes.

Responsibilities

Supervises, produces and perfoms diagnostic interpretation of all the cytological material for cytopathology examinations.
Provides consultation to resolve technical problems.
Registers, accessions, labels, handles, prioritizes, performs, judges, and reports routine and esoteric testing on specimens in accordance with standards, and policies of available information systems.
