This opportunity is: Location: Memphis, TN 38134 Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8 am- 4:30 pm Full-time: Benefit Eligible In this role, you will: Perform a vital part of the patient care process through examining prepared slides with the microscope to detect evidence of abnormalities Report negative Pap Test cases and refers abnormal cases to the pathologists for review May read Non-GYN specimens and report findings to the pathologists for final diagnosis Document for each 24-hour period, the total number of slides examined or reviewed in the laboratory or for any other employer. Perform embedding and microtomy. Perform automated IHC/ISH and special staining, employing different staining platforms (Ventana, Leica, etc.). Test and validate new antibodies. Analyze and troubleshoot equipment related issues. Maintain quality control and assurance records. Performs and documents preventative maintenance. Document the number of hours spent examining slides in each 24-hour period. Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment Champion safety, compliance, and quality control All you need is: CT Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Tennessee Licensing HT or HTL Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Strong critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills. Requirements

  • CT Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • Tennessee Licensing
  • HT or HTL Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • Strong critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
