About The Position

A Day in the Life Prepares and evaluates human cellular samples from all body sites, under the direction of a pathologist, to detect pre-cancerous changes, cancer, benign tumors, infectious agents, and inflammatory processes. May also prepare specimens, attend fine needle aspirations, and assist in quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • 4 year Bachelor Degree from a CAHEA accredited school of Cytotechnology or other organization approved by Health and Human Services
  • Cytotechnologist certification – must be from American Society of Clinical Pathology
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
