About The Position

Job Title: Cytotechnologist (Onsite)
Location: VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System – University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or higher).
• Active ASCP Cytotechnologist certification.
• Successful completion of PAP proficiency testing within the last 12 months.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytological evaluations of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
• Document findings in accordance with VA and ASCP standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, improvement initiatives, and staff meetings.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
• Report abnormal findings in alignment with VHA Directive 1088.
• Meet all continuing education, training, and certification requirements.
