Airgas is Hiring for a Cylinder Requalifier in Charlestown, NH! The Cylinder Requalifier provides general assistance in the plant, including painting cylinders, valve/de-valve cylinders, general cylinder movement and handling throughout the plant including the loading of trucks. The Cylinder Requalifier may operate a forklift. Coordinates the movement of gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks and trailers, navigating cylinders safely with proper carts. Rolls cylinders and utilizes a forklift truck for the efficient movement of inventory. Organizes empty cylinders by type to maintain an efficient workflow. Assists with inventory by checking for cylinder quantities, styles, and products. Reviews customer orders and prepares items from inventory to ensure trucks are ready for delivery. Contributes to basic cylinder maintenance, such as painting and labeling, and helps maintain a clean, professional work area. Committed to personal health and safety while contributing to a safe and healthy work environment. Actively fosters a safe environment by communicating any unsafe actions or conditions to a supervisor immediately. Values reliability and the ability to align with hourly work schedules. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable of hazards associated with high pressure cylinder tanks.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to perform very heavy work—routinely lift 25 to 75 lb., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lb. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion required.
  • Ability to perform work which includes routine climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities including the tightening of ratchet binders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is preferred.
  • Ability to safely drive a forklift.
