The cycle counter is responsible for contributing to the accuracy and reliability of Sturtevant’s inventoried materials as managed in SAP. Cycle counter will contribute to this reliability through cycle counts, troubleshooting and investigations of inaccuracies.

Requirements

  • Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment preferred.
  • Previous experience using SAP preferred.
  • Previous experience with scanners/RF guns preferred.
  • Organizational & excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift helpful.
  • Basic computer experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • 2 years previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in an inventory control role preferred.
  • Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
  • Ability to work in warm, cold or wet environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to walk up to 135 feet one way many times a day.
  • Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladder.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Uses laptop to work in SAP for most cycle count tasks.
  • Ability to use a scan gun.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to maneuver 50# bags/containers safely.
  • Enter computer data accurately into SAP.
  • Communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic office programs email, TEAMS, basic Excel skills.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Maintain GMPS, PPE, and 5S standards.
  • Reports all Accidents and Near-misses immediately.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
