About The Position

Works with stored goods in a warehouse environment, facilitating the movement of goods going out to customers and coming in for use. Helps track, keep accurate counts of items on hand, and utilize these numbers to help create lists to be used in the supply chain. Catalog and keep track of all goods and/or supplies on hand. For goods on hand to be sold or shipped, the cycle counter helps production supervisors understand and forecast future needs and par levels. The cycle counter may help ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. For goods or supplies to be used, these accurate counts are used to establish how often new inventory is ordered and in what quantities.

Requirements

Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Demonstrates competency in tasks that are beyond entry level.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Works under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
Compiles raw material, stock items, and finished goods data.
Monitors inventory levels to determine level of safety stock and provides notification to supervisor or manager.
Coordinate with shipping to ensure all receiving shipments are moving in and out of warehouse as scheduled.
Generate reports on inventory balance and shortages.
Count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Performs other duties assigned from management.
