About The Position

JOB DETAILS: Starting pay: $19 per hour Shift: 1st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday (Saturdays based on business need) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and investigating discrepancies. This role supports production, shipping, and purchasing by ensuring inventory accuracy and proper stock levels. The Cycle Counter works closely with warehouse, production, and materials teams to identify root causes of variances and help improve inventory control processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of material handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and production support processes.
  • Proficient in ERP or inventory management systems (JDE).
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members.
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with FIFO and inventory control best practices
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including location, quantity, and transaction errors.
  • Document findings and report recurring issues to inventory control or materials leadership.
  • Partner with warehouse and production teams to correct inventory errors and prevent future variances.
  • Verify inventory transactions such as receipts, transfers, issues, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Support physical inventory counts.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and counting processes.
