About The Position

The Nieco LLC Cycle Count Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counts, physical audits, and timely updates within the company’s ERP system. This role ensures data integrity, supports operational efficiency, and helps prevent inventory discrepancies that impact production, fulfillment, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at balancing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field.
  • Initiative-taking, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough. A versatile, initiative-taker with a cheerful outlook.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking or standing.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Ability to interpret inventory reports and transaction logs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled cycle counts across designated warehouse or production areas.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory variances by reviewing transactions, movement history, and physical stock.
  • Document findings and escalate significant discrepancies to management.
  • Enter cycle count results, adjustments, and corrections into the ERP system with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date item records, including quantities, locations, lot/serial numbers, and status changes.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, issues, returns) are properly recorded and compliant with internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages, overages, or slow-moving items.
  • Support root-cause analysis for recurring inventory issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining organized, clearly labeled storage areas to support accurate counts.
  • Participate in audits and support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
