About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Passport Enterprise Infrastructure Environment (PEIS) for the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO). The SME will provide cybersecurity expertise to protect enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, and data systems while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and supporting secure cloud and modern data center environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, OR CISSP certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Experience executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Cloud-related certification such as: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack
• Or other relevant cloud certifications validating experience with modern data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls for enterprise infrastructure and applications.
• Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle including system authorization, documentation, and security assessments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and risk mitigation activities.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Support system security authorization packages and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and database teams to ensure secure system configurations.
• Support cloud security initiatives within enterprise and modern data center environments.
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices and compliance with DoD security requirements.
