In this role, you will lead the strategic direction for our cybersecurity and ICAM engineers, oversee multiple Security Operations Centers (SOCs), and ensure the security of various government agencies. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Cybersecurity Sr Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of multiple government agencies. You will play a crucial role overseeing the SOC while driving strategy with cyber engineering, ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) engineering, and the tool suites leveraged to service our customers. Negotiate with peers and senior leaders to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions to complex business problems Serve as the primary point of contact for the cyber engineering/SOC team and services, coordinating technical security issues with appropriate stakeholders Lead, mentor, and coach SOC analysts, ICAM engineers, and cyber engineers Overarching lead for multiple and multi-tenant security operations centers (SOC) Support our customers during day-to-day operations and lead escalations Drive strategy and direction for our cyber and ICAM engineering teams Develop, author, and deliver process improvements for the SOC to maintain operational readiness for incident response Provide enterprise-wide management of security incidents, managed network space, to detect, respond, and report all computer related incidents that includes daily monitoring of information systems, vulnerability remediation, intrusion detection, log reviews, and malware tracking Foster collaborative vendor relationships to maximize advantageous terms for services. Act as primary liaison for vendor performance and SLA issues to ensure service excellence and business alignment. Lead the optimization and automation of the cybersecurity and ICAM tool suites Oversee the implementation and maintenance of secure access systems, ensuring that identity management, authentication, and authorization processes align with organizational security policies Lead a team of professionals to design and execute access control solutions, manage user identities, and safeguard sensitive information across the supported IT environments Ensure operational discipline by implementing best practices and continuous improvement processes Leverage AI solutions to improve the efficiencies of day-to-day operations Support business development activities related to cyber and SOC services, including responding to RFPs and RFIs, and providing input to the Basis of Estimates (BOEs) Participate and contribute to proposals, writing content that drives additional business to your area Assist with management of the service budget WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cybersecurity Sr Manager must have: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business, information technology, computer science, information systems, or engineering; equivalent combination of experience may be considered. 5+ years of information technology experience required; 15+ years of information technology experience strongly preferred, ideally in engineering (cyber, network, cloud) 5+ years of experience in government contracting environments delivering or operating cyber security solutions including SOC, Security Information and Event Management and Compliance; 10+ years of experience in government contracting environments strongly preferred. 5+ years of leading teams, preferably delivering cyber security services. Demonstrable leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams larger than 30 strongly preferred. Experience in federal contracting proposal development and managing budgets/financials. Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Proven expertise in communication with the ability to convey complex technical data to diverse audiences. Must be willing and able to obtain Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship Required. Ability to travel up to 25% to strategic locations if remote Location Candidates who are able to follow a hybrid work schedule at GDIT's corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia are strongly preferred. Candidates within Virginia who do not reside within range of Falls Church may be considered to work remotely. The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
