Requirements

  • Active DoD Public Trust clearance or US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust upon hire
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Specialist.
  • Proficiency in managing patch management systems.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Strong skills in implementing and maintaining data backup solutions.
  • Expertise in using forensic analysis tools for incident investigation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance checks (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
  • Experience in planning and executing disaster recovery testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent.
  • Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
  • Familiarity with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patch management systems to ensure all software and systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
  • Set up and configure Zero Trust Architecture to enhance network security and protect sensitive data.
  • Implement and maintain data backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of a disaster.
  • Utilize forensic analysis tools to investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and gather evidence for further action.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance checks (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA) to ensure the organization meets all relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery testing to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives and IT strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cybersecurity processes, configurations, and procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Participate in the procurement and evaluation of cybersecurity tools and software.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all cybersecurity efforts.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of cybersecurity processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity strategies and methodologies.
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing activities and training sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities.
