LIV Golf is seeking a motivated and talented Cybersecurity Intern to join our dynamic technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student passionate about cybersecurity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment. The ideal candidate will assist our team in protecting our infrastructure, responding to threats, and ensuring compliance with global security standards. You will have the chance to apply your academic knowledge to practical challenges and learn from experienced industry professionals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of systems security, software development, and IT architectures.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, including Python and Java.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability detection, incident response, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms (e.g., Cisco Packet Tracer, Google Cloud).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge or a passion for the sport of golf.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and their application in security.
  • Familiarity with C++, JavaScript, SQL, and version control systems like Git.
  • Relevant certifications, such as the Google Cybersecurity Certification.
  • Prior experience in a research or software development role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the cybersecurity team in monitoring security alerts, analyzing potential threats, and responding to security incidents.
  • Support the development and testing of AI-powered security solutions to enhance system resilience and threat detection.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in developing scripts (primarily in Python) to detect and mitigate software vulnerabilities.
  • Help develop and implement breach response plans, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR.
  • Utilize tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer to troubleshoot and resolve network and software security issues.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on research projects, focusing on emerging cyber threats, backdoor attacks, and privacy-preserving mechanisms.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to compliance inquiries and audits.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees.
