Overview The Cybersecurity Automation Specialist independently builds and manages automated solutions, integrates security tools, and enhances operational security efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with industry‑standard security products (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible) or CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Able to balance speed and accuracy in security automation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build moderate‑complexity automation workflows for vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance reporting.
  • Integrate SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and scanning tools to improve data flow and reduce manual workload.
  • Conduct assessments to identify automation opportunities across security operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless automation pipelines.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides, workflow diagrams, and process documentation.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, offering improvements and best‑practice recommendations.
