Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated Security Automation Intern to join our security engineering team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain automation solutions that improve the efficiency and scalability of our security operations. You’ll work closely with security engineers to streamline workflows, develop tools, and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. Gain Hands-on experience in security engineering and automation. Exposure to enterprise-grade security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management). Mentorship and learning from experienced security professionals. Opportunity to work on impactful projects that reduce risk and increase security efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Basic programming skills, preferably in Python
  • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts (vulnerabilities, scanning, risk)
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix command-line environments
  • Ability to write, debug, and maintain scripts
  • Strong analytical mindset and curiosity for automation and optimization
  • Good documentation and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience automating security workflows or scans
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and REST-based integrations
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Understanding of AI skills
  • Knowledge of security testing tools and automation frameworks
  • Interest in DevSecOps and scalable security solutions

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining scripts, tools, and automation frameworks to support security operations.
  • Help integrate security tools with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and incident response processes.
  • Automate repetitive security tasks such as log analysis, vulnerability scanning, and alert triage.
  • Support efforts to collect, normalize, and analyze security data from multiple sources.
  • Document and maintain automation processes, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, DevOps, Security, Engineering) to embed security automation into workflows.
