We are seeking an accomplished Cybersecurity Architect to serve as the highest-level subject matter expert and final authority on security architecture within our organization. This is a high-impact, strategic role within the organization. Acting as the senior-most IT security expert in the organization, this role will define and enforce the global security architecture vision, ensuring that our publicly traded, multi-brand company in the QSR industry has the proper protections, frameworks, and controls needed to safeguard our users, data, and systems across a multinational environment. The Cybersecurity Architect will work collaboratively within and across organizational boundaries to drive strategy, set standards, make authoritative decisions on architectural direction, and act as the escalation point of last resort for all security architecture matters across the enterprise. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Miami, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Advanced certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, or SANS/GIAC) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of IT security experience, with 5+ years in security architecture leadership roles.
  • Proven record of serving as the highest-level security architect within a large, complex, multinational enterprise.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise-class security design, cloud security, and identity frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing strategy and making final architectural decisions at the enterprise level.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence CIO, CISO, and senior leadership.
  • Strategic mindset balanced with hands-on technical credibility.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external security partners.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and own the security architecture vision, strategy, frameworks, and standards for the enterprise.
  • Act as the top security architecture authority, with responsibility for approving and governing design decisions across all IT domains.
  • Ensure architecture aligns with business strategy, risk management priorities, and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded into all IT projects and platforms.
  • Lead the design and integration of enterprise-class security technologies (e.g., Netskope, Fortinet, Proofpoint, Cisco ISE, CrowdStrike, GitHub Advanced Security).
  • Oversee security architecture in major initiatives, including new facility buildouts, global infrastructure refreshes, and modernization programs.
  • Guarantee architectural compliance with PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
  • Act as the architectural authority in all security audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Partner with GRC teams to integrate architectural controls into compliance programs.
  • Provide executive-level guidance to IT and business leadership on security investments, emerging risks, and architectural tradeoffs.
  • Act as the primary advisor and escalation point for complex security design and threat defense issues.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, driving maturity in the organization’s overall security capability.
