Position Purpose: The Cyber Analyst II will support the Secure Solutions Enablement Delivery Management team during a transformation of our internal collaboration model. Successful candidates are curious, action-oriented self-starters with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally. The Analyst II will partner with other Delivery Management team members and Cybersecurity Advisors to act as the operational engine for this program, gathering pertinent portfolio-impacting demand data, ensuring process adherence across teams, and summarizing information in a clear, cohesive manner to drive results. At The Home Depot Cybersecurity consists of Architecture, Governance, Identity & Access Management, Internal Threat Operations, Issue and Compliance Management, Risk Assessment/Advisory, Security Consulting, Security Operations, Service Optimization and Strategic Planning Analysts II perform data gathering, analysis, synthesis and develop solutions to support THD Cybersecurity practices.

Requirements

  • Excel (preferably advanced: v-look-ups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Jira (Experience managing boards, user stories, and issue linking).
  • Action-Oriented & Results-Driven: A proactive self-starter who can see a task through to completion with good follow-up.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize large data sets and keep complex cross-team interactions orderly.
  • Communication: Strong ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively across both technical and managerial stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: Views internal peer teams as valued customers and aims to make their lives easier through efficient process management.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

  • Jira Align (Preferred, but not required; willingness to learn is essential).
  • Familiarity with Project management tracking tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis - Perform data gathering, synthesis, and develop solutions; Leverage department standards to achieve results Monitor incoming cross-team service requests (dependencies) in Jira and Jira Align. Review incoming requests against our "Definition of Ready" criteria to ensure necessary technical scope and dates are included before execution begins. Identify data gaps and process friction points, proactively suggesting improvements
  • Collaborate - Partner with teams to identify trends and resolve problems Build relationships across the organization to facilitate smooth handoffs between teams. Organize and support "dependency sync" meetings by capturing action items and following up until closure. Communicate clearly cross-functionally, mediating conflicting priorities with professionalism and a customer-focus mindset towards peer teams.
  • Drive Execution - Evaluate information and provide recommendations Act as the "librarian" for our dependency tracking tools, ensuring excellent data hygiene and that Jira stories on team boards are correctly linked to strategic dependencies in Jira Align. Proactively chase down answers and status updates from team leads to ensure nothing falls through the cracks and requests are driven to completion. Demonstrate initiative by identifying stalled processes and taking independent action to get items moving again without needing constant direction.
