About The Position

Cyber Technical Writer, Mid Key Role: Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and sales and training literature. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of junior employees.

Requirements

• Experience developing, editing, and managing technical documentation within the DoD
• Experience producing and maintaining documentation such as CONOPS, SOPs, RMF artifacts, and technical manuals
• Experience using Micro sof t Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT terminology to support cyber programs
• Ability to organize complex technical information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure clarity and accuracy in deliverables
• TS / SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• DoD 8140 Level II Certification such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or a DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting Air Force or DoD cyber operations or engineering documentation
• Experience editing classified technical documentation for compliance with DoD standards and security markings
• Experience with configuration management processes and version control systems such as Git, Jira, or Confluence
• Knowledge of Agile documentation practices, including user stories and system release notes
• Bachelor’s degree
• Technical Communication Certification such as CPTC, STC, or SAFe Agile Certification
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
