We are seeking a skilled Cyber Systems Engineer to serve as a Field Service Representative on a national defense program. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, and leadership, complementing our commitment to delivering top-tier support to our clients. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems support team in San Antonio, TX .

  • Working as part of a team to design, build and maintain a defense cyber security systems
  • Administering systems based on Linux and Windows operating system
  • Responsible for defining protection plans, developing requirements, system integration and test.
  • Development and verification of system engineering requirements and technology protection capabilities.
  • Serve as a principal liaison between our team and the customer, providing expert technical guidance and support for cyber systems on the defense program.
  • Work on projects applying agile methodologies to enhance cybersecurity capabilities for embedded systems.
  • Support risk assessments and ensure compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative cloud-based solutions, maintaining strong cybersecurity protocols.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and customers.
  • An active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Eligibility for SCI clearance.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields; with 2 years of experience working within IT Systems deployment and Administration.
  • 6 year of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex, cross‑domain issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment.
  • Proven experience in applying agile methodologies to the development of cybersecurity capabilities for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of Cross Domain Solution (CDS) concepts and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles within cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, cybersecurity policy standards, and requirements development.
