About The Position

Seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to be responsible for protecting Army systems, networks, and data from potential threats. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The Cyber Systems Engineer will work with Government Leads, cloud engineers, solution architects, and systems enigneers to design and develop solutions that meet the most stringent of security standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 3-10 years of experience in cybersecurity or systems engineering
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency with cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and protocols
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Security+ or equivalent certification

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
  • Experience with cloud security and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., DoD 8510.01, NIST 800-53, and AR 25-2)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain secure systems and networks.
  • Develop and enforce DoD & Army security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into systems and applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for security-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to security systems and protocols (RMF, eMASS)
