This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Tampa FL The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems. Offensive cybersecurity that involves identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in a system or network before malicious actors can, using techniques like penetration testing and red teaming to strengthen defenses. Focuses on maintaining network performance and uptime, while SOC (Security Operations Center) focuses on cybersecurity, including threat detection, analysis, and incident response Develop Python scripts to automate various LLM prompting workflows. ● Write Python scripts for multithreaded data parsing + digital asset management tasks. ● Develop usable cryptography management platform via Python, Powershell, and GPG.

Requirements

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall .
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Candidate Must have a Top Secret Clearance to start.

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Responsibilities

Develop Python scripts to automate various LLM prompting workflows.
Write Python scripts for multithreaded data parsing + digital asset management tasks.
Develop usable cryptography management platform via Python, Powershell, and GPG.
