About The Position

Mission Technologies, a Division of HII, is seeking a Cyber Operations SME who is familiar with the USAF combat operations and capabilities, specifically in regards to Non-Kinetic Attack capabilities, as a member of the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. The individual’s primary responsibility is planning, building, executing and debriefing training missions in the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) scenarios involving Cyber Operations, specifically Non-Kinetic Attack capabilities, in theater wide tactical and operational level training missions in the Joint Simulation Environment. In addition, they will be responsible for coordinating with the customer Squadrons to deliver mission materials required to execute these missions, coordinating with additional simulator operators to direct virtual entities, and managing constructed entities in a realistic manner within the simulation environment. Additionally, the Cyber Operations SME will be responsible for loading and operating various platform systems in NGTS while controlling constructed entities. This person will work with a small team to develop virtual Large Force Exercises (LFEs) involving numerous simulator platforms and manage the incorporation of cyber capable platforms into NGTS for the successful operation of the missions at the JITTC-N.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Current or previous Cyber operations experience with knowledge of Non-Kinetic Attack capabilities.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Work Environment: Position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. Must be capable of working morning and evening shifts to accommodate flexible schedule training operations.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.
  • Current and active DoW Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Operational mission planning experience.
  • Experience with NGTS, GRID, and DIADS.
  • Experience with MSCT, ASCOT, Tac Chat, or other equivalent programs and applications.
  • Weapons School graduate.
  • Experience in Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).

Responsibilities

  • Operating simulation cockpits and/or consoles to represent synthetic friendly and threat cyber capabilities and replication.
  • Operate JIAB components and applications.
  • When required, act as Mission Director depending on scenario.
  • Operate the simulator console and debriefing system during and after missions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding Cyber and Non-Kinetic Attack capabilities and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) during the planning and execution of JITTC-N operations.
  • Support the development, coordination, and integration of JITTC-N events to maximize training.
  • Provide White-Force duties and functions as required for customer needs and training objectives.
  • Orchestrate scenarios and constructive inputs for training events.
  • Create and modify mission-planning materials/academics to ensure participants achieve maximum training.
  • Provide instructor level expertise to help shape tactical training for participants.
  • Report issues related to stimulation software applications and provide basic trouble shooting support.
  • May be required to provide managerial or administrative duties.
