About The Position

This position is part of a proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award. Noblis is seeking an on-site Software Programmer with Modelling & Simulation experience to support CWMD (and Nuclear Effects when required) in modelling complex systems. These systems include chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear agent effects & attributes in different situations (i.e. weather, temperature), overlaid over complex air operations modeling. From a technical perspective software solutions using Python, C++, and Visual Basic, while applying and integrating hazard prediction and assessment tools such as VLSTRACK (Vapor, Liquid, and Solid Tracking), HPAC (Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability), and JEM (Joint Effects Model) to support modeling, simulation, and analysis of CBRN-related scenarios. This will be an onsite position at the Pentagon.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree & 5 years of relevant experience. Will also consider an Associates & 8 years of experience or a High School diploma 11 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must a US Citizen with an active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Fundamental understanding of software development, network development, network operations, communications systems, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and Visual Basic for developing and maintaining software applications
  • Experience working with hazard prediction and assessment tools such as VLSTRACK (Vapor, Liquid, and Solid Tracking), HPAC (Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability), and JEM (Joint Effects Model)
  • Strong understanding of modeling and simulation (M&S) principles, particularly in CBRN environments
  • Knowledge of communications systems used in aircraft and satellite systems, and the design of such systems including waveforms, and cyber security of such systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the A10 community

Responsibilities
