About The Position

JRAD is seeking a CWMD Subject Matter Expert to support the development and implementation of strategy, doctrine, policy, guidance, programs, and projects, as well as conduct operational research, analysis, and testing across the full spectrum of Air Force CWMD mission sets. This includes Non‑Proliferation, Counterproliferation (e.g., strike, interdiction, intercept, offensive and defensive counter‑air/space), ATSO, air operations, CBRN defense, and consequence management.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience and familiarity with operations of current sortie generation
  • Modeling & Simulation (M&S) products
  • Demonstrated extensive experience with both using and interpreting M&S tools.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of AF and DoD CWMD and Counterproliferation programs
  • Demonstrated experience working in complex environments with multiple POCs.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing/interpreting CBRN studies for operational impacts (i.e., impact on air and/or space operations/missions.)
  • Demonstrated technical expertise concerning CBRN science.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the CBRN hazard environment.
  • AF-unique operational experience/expertise in the following mission areas: Fighter/mobility operations, Flightline agile combat support, Joint operations/Air operations planning, AF CBRN Defense, Counterproliferation and non-proliferation, Scientific Analysis and testing of Air Platforms, Adversary use of/potential methods of employment regarding CBRN weapons, CBRN effects on people, equipment and operations, and AF CBRN countermeasure processes
  • Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

  • The CWMD Expert (CE) serves as the lead for a team of contractor subject matter experts responsible for delivering research, analysis, recommendations, and related activities in direct support of DAF CWMD policy development. The team includes multiple geographically dispersed CWMD advisors supporting subordinate Air Force headquarters. The CE is responsible for synthesizing inputs from DoD and other U.S. Government stakeholders to assess potential impacts on Air Force operations, with particular focus on combat sortie generation. The CE must possess familiarity with a range of CBRN modeling and simulation (M&S) tools and will collaborate closely with M&S specialists to develop quantitative analytic assessments addressing operationally relevant questions and problem sets.
  • Support in the development and implementation of strategy doctrine, policy, guidance, programs, projects, operational research, analysis, and testing relating to the AF CWMD Range of Mission Sets (Non-Proliferation, Counterproliferation, CBRN defense and response)
  • Provide inputs to assist in developing policy and doctrine for AF operations in a CBRN environment and in the execution of National or DoW programs (such as CBRN Survivability). Perform analysis of items of interest by the MAJCOMS, Air Staff/Space Staff, Services, JS, OSD, DoD, CCDRs, and other Federal Agencies to assist in determining its value to the DAF for operational use.
