About The Position

Acara Solution is looking for a CWL Advanced Systems Engineer for our client located in Manassas, VA. This is an onsite long-term contract position with an hourly pay rate of $60.56. This position requires a current Secret security clearance (or it has been active within the past 2 years). Here's what you'd do: As a systems engineer for CWL ( Common Weapon Launcher - submarine), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the system engineering and functional design of the system under development, addressing topics such as payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity. As a member of the system engineering team, the candidate will help ensure that functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate, delivered as needed to support customer review and approval, and to facilitate system development and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role, preferably defense-related
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with computer system architectures, cybersecurity, Linux, or embedded operating systems
  • Min 1 year of experience with DOORS
  • Active Secret clearance (within the past 2 years)

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 3 years of experience
