What You’ll Be Doing Work in the CRM system to manage event details and track information Use Outlook to monitor communication, respond to emails, and send calendar reminders Learn how to pull and enter information in SmartSimple (the team’s CRM) Review and verify corporate sponsorship applications using tools such as: Community Impact portal Louisiana Secretary of State database IRS tax-exempt status search GuideStar nonprofit profiles Coordinate and attend sponsored events, distribute giveaways, and support onsite event needs (may include setting up tents or other equipment) Communicate with nonprofits to schedule calls, meetings, and event logistics Draft monthly emails to recruit volunteers for community initiatives Who We’re Looking For Education Junior or Senior undergraduate student, or a graduate student Preferred fields of study include: Business, Marketing, Communications, Kinesiology, Public Administration, Political Science, Health Promotion/Education, Health Administration, Public Health, Human Services, or another related field GPA Preferred: 3.0+, Minimum: 2.5 cumulative GPA Experience Prior work experience or exposure in related fields is a plus Skills & Experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external partners Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Comfortable handling multiple priorities at once Strong written and verbal communication abilities What Will Help You Succeed Positive energy and a willingness to learn Self-motivated and proactive Adaptable in a fast changing work environment Team oriented and collaborative Interest in community engagement, nonprofits, or public health #LI-DNI An Equal Opportunity Employer All BCBSLA EMPLOYEES please apply through Workday Careers. Requirements

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate student, or a graduate student
  • Preferred fields of study include: Business, Marketing, Communications, Kinesiology, Public Administration, Political Science, Health Promotion/Education, Health Administration, Public Health, Human Services, or another related field
  • GPA Preferred: 3.0+, Minimum: 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Prior work experience or exposure in related fields is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external partners
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
