Cutting Laminating Department Supervisor Job Summary: The Cutting Laminating Department Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating production within the Cutting Laminating department Direct Report: Reports to Sayre Enterprises Director of Operations Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for Monitoring, Measuring, and Controlling Quality, Safety and Production goals Follow all company policies , procedures and daily safety requirements Responsible for training, assigning duties, completing daily required reports, tracking attendance and PTO, managing payroll processing and conduct performance reviews Expected to perform production activities as needed with minimal supervision including, but not limited to, production calculation and printing and distribution of orders Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of items produced Analyze and resolve work problems Confidentiality with employee related issues Knowledge of product types and their proper construction Ability to keep track of department supplies and place orders when needed Ability to lead efficiently and communicate effectively Ability to coach and mentor associates to improve performance Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and make decisions on the go Performs other related duties as assigned by management Sayre Enterprises, a Division of Ira Green, Inc., is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required; 1 year of related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required. Prior management and leadership experience a plus Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members Strong written and verbal communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet assigned project deadlines in a timely manner Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, Word, and Excel Will be required to learn and use Syspro inventory program Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail Physical Demands and Work Environment : Continually required to stand, sit and walk (8-10 hours per day and up to 2-4 hours overtime as needed) Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms Continually required to balance, stoop, climb ladders, talk and hear Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift, push or move up to 75lbs.
