Introduction to the Job As a Customs Specialist at ASML, you play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global import and export regulations. By safeguarding trade compliance, you contribute directly to the success of cutting-edge semiconductor technology that powers modern electronics. “You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship” Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will manage operational trade compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with global teams to maintain regulatory adherence, streamline processes, and drive data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage import and export filings to ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Review Customs and export requirements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare and update training materials for import/export compliance.
  • Maintain and improve internal procedures and presentations.
  • Develop and implement new compliance processes and project plans.
  • Conduct audits to verify adherence to trade regulations.
  • Support Duty Drawback processes and global improvement projects.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, improve compliance efficiency, and support reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality goals are met.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance or customs operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex compliance issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with global stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Build collaborative relationships across teams and functions.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and drive improvements.
  • Maintain a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
  • Customs broker license preferred but not required.
  • Experience with data analysis tools; Spotfire experience preferred but not required.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
