Requirements

  • Bilingual in Korean and English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in customs brokerage or international trade operations, including supervisory capacity.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. customs laws and regulations (19 CFR, HTS classifications, PGAs, duty/valuation, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with customs/brokerage systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor and Oversee the customs brokerage department including the team of entry writers, ensuring that operational goals and KPIs are met.
  • Manage the import clearance workflow: from customs entries and ISF filings to broker relationships, audits, billing, and client communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. customs regulations, partner government agencies, trade policies, and company SOPs.
  • Review and improve department processes: work distribution, quality control, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members, manage staffing, workflow capacity, and performance metrics.
  • Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk shipments, broker disputes, compliance issues, and audit findings.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to support new account onboarding, client growth, and service delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance customs clearance systems, reporting tools, data analytics, and entry tracking.
  • Provide regular management reports on department performance, cost control, and compliance status.
