Customs Brokerage Rep II (M-F 8am-4:30pm) REMOTE (Must live within a commutable distance to Philadelphia, PA)
About The Position
Remote position with 6 weeks of on-site training during the day, then moves to an evening remote role. Candidates must live within commuting distance to UPS facility in Philadelphia, PA. About the Role As a Customs Brokerage Specialist II, you will review import documentation, troubleshoot discrepancies, classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and ensure shipments meet federal regulatory requirements. You’ll communicate directly with customers, carriers, and international partners to keep freight moving efficiently and compliantly.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations, regulations, and government agencies
- Strong computer skills and comfort with data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve documentation issues
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with HTS codes or tariff classification (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customs entries accurately and on time
- Review and audit commercial documents; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Apply correct HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes for duty assessment
- Communicate documentation needs with customers and foreign origins
- Coordinate freight forwarding and delivery with domestic and international carriers
- Submit customs entries via GBS-CM in a timely manner
- Scan and upload documentation into internal imaging systems
- Prepare reports, presentations, and database-driven analyses
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive, clear communication
- Support weekend or holiday work on a rotational basis, as needed
