As a Customs Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining customs instructions, preparing import and export operations which includes invoicing, packing, Bill of Lading documents, along with arrival and departure schedules. You will communicate with brokers to guarantee declaration compliance on a day to day basis. Responsibilities Also Include: Update Customs instructions database (Tariff, Customs regulation for tax & duties' suspension, preferential origin, customs value, ...), perform product classification (BTI, Suspension, …) and preferential Origin Communicate with brokers to guarantee declaration compliance on a day to day base; If authorization is granted by the administration proceed to import and/or export declaration Check Brokers import and export declaration vs Customs Instruction, Invoices, Transport Documents, Origin Certificate … Organize and manage efficient document filling process; Check Customs and Accounting traceability in the ERP; Operate customs regime and customs authorization in line with the administration’s requests; collect and archive Supplier’s Long Term declaration, load them in the ERP. Report to their manager customs management discrepancies and use standard quality Valeo tool to solve them (Plan Do Act Check (PDCA)/FTA); Support Supply Chain team in shipment activities; Give visibility on his activity and performance through Key Operations & Performance Indicators. Participate to customs continuous improvement workshops in relation with his Customs Manager; Participate in the preparation of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) company certification: Establish and/or refresh processes in line with AEO evolution with site Customs Manager. Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo’s policies.
