About The Position

The Customized Training Representative (CTR) is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating training programs for businesses, governments, professional associations, non-profit organizations, workforce centers, and individuals. The CTR is responsible for: Meeting sales revenue goals established in the annual budget for the Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) Department; Managing training client engagement and training contract fulfillment, including the operational processes necessary for contract fulfillment; Managing grant implementation in collaboration with the Business Services Office; and Providing research and development for the Minneapolis College Academic Affairs Division by delivering training programs to clients that may lead to new academic awards for degree-seeking students.

Requirements

  • Sales experience.
  • Interpersonal communications skills required to determine training needs for businesses, government and non-profits.
  • Skills necessary to organize meetings with professional associations, community groups, partnering businesses, and individuals.
  • Ability to direct and motivate in order to accomplish work through other people.
  • Skills in word-processing, database and spreadsheet applications in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize and administer multiple projects, set priorities and schedule activities.
  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency.
  • Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with market research and data analysis to develop and offer successful programs.
  • Established network of professional instructors/trainers and business or community partners for training and continuing education projects.
  • Process improvement and project management skills and experience.

Responsibilities
