About The Position

Customer Solutions Intern (ERP Software) BS&A Software is a market-leading software organization providing cloud-based ERP solutions to local governments and utility districts across the country. Our technology helps municipalities operate more efficiently and serve their communities better. We are seeking a Customer Solutions Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience working with enterprise software used by local governments. Interns will gain exposure to one or more areas of the full customer lifecycle (system configuration, implementation and training, customer support) while developing valuable technical, analytical, and customer-facing skills. This role is intended to provide hands-on experience that can lead to future full-time opportunities within the Implementation or Customer Support teams. This position is an hourly paid internship.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in: Business Accounting / Finance Information Systems Computer Science Data Analytics or a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Interest in enterprise software, SaaS, or government technology
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel, data analysis, or reporting
  • Exposure to ERP systems or SaaS platforms
  • Basic understanding of databases or data structures

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and configuration of BS&A ERP software for municipal customers.
  • Support the documentation of customer business processes and requirements.
  • Help validate and review customer data following system conversions or updates.
  • Assist with preparing system configuration documentation and implementation notes.
  • Help develop user documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles.
  • Support training sessions for customers learning to use BS&A software.
  • Assist in preparing training environments, presentations, and walkthrough materials.
  • Assist support specialists in investigating and troubleshooting customer issues.
  • Learn how to diagnose data issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Answer how to questions related to using the software.
  • Document customer interactions, case notes, and resolutions in internal systems.
  • Test software updates and assist with validating bug fixes or new functionality.
  • Work closely with Implementation and Support team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Take on individual projects designed to build product knowledge and technical skills.
  • Gain exposure to multiple BS&A applications and how they support municipal operations.
