About The Position

We are seeking an engaging, service-driven Customer Solutions Facilitator to serve as the first point of contact for job seekers entering the workforce system in Abilene, Texas. This role is ideal for a dynamic public speaker with a background in teaching, training, or facilitation who is passionate about empowering individuals through resume development, interview coaching, and workforce readiness programming. The Customer Solutions Facilitator plays a critical role in guiding participants through career exploration, employment preparation, and access to workforce resources. This position requires confidence in leading workshops, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to support diverse populations with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, teacher or trainer background preferred
  • Experience in workforce development, economic development, project coordination, or career services is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively support individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Skilled in managing challenging situations with professionalism and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance and clean driving record

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead job readiness classes, orientations, and career workshops using interactive instructional techniques such as group discussions, simulations, team exercises, lectures, and multimedia presentations
  • Deliver resume-building sessions, interview coaching, and employment preparation workshops
  • Coordinate and support customers' job readiness activities to align with work experience opportunities
  • Conduct structured interviews to assess employment history, skills, and career development needs
  • Educate customers on available center services and tools, including self-directed job search platforms and workforce resources
  • Assist customers with system registrations and ensure accurate completion of required documentation
  • Accurately enter service data in real time within required systems, including WorkInTexas and TWIST
  • Ensure applications and documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with policy guidelines
  • Partner with Business Solutions Representatives and Career Center staff to align services with employer and labor market needs
  • Identify and connect customers to community resources that address employment barriers
  • Contribute to performance metrics and center-wide customer service goals
  • Escort customers to satisfaction survey stations prior to departure, when applicable
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance workforce services and improve customer experience
  • Support additional responsibilities as assigned to ensure operational excellence
