About The Position

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner. As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will develop innovative, cutting-edge solutions to the business problems faced by GCS advertisers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field
  • Experience working with advertising technology products (e.g., ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics), and experience with engineering solutions.
  • Experience working in the ad space, first-party data onboarding and activation, measurement and data modeling, video and search advertising.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, investigative skills with the ability to formulate data-driven proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and building a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be used by GCS customers globally.
  • Leverage engineering skills to design and scale complex, cross-product customized solutions to be rolled out to customers globally.
  • Collect requirements, provide guidance, best practices and innovative solutions to apply ad products and technologies and drive customer and business goals.
  • Experiment with new technologies to develop solutions.
