About The Position

Pine River Group (https://pinerivergroup.com/ [https://pinerivergroup.com/]), a leading supplier of marine piling, decking, and lumber products, is searching for a Customer Service team member. We supply high-quality marine pilings and pressure-treated lumber for municipal, commercial, marina, and residential projects across the Midwest. Summary: Provide service to new and existing customers with from sales of wood products and building materials or service needs. Process sales orders efficiently and offer expert guidance to build customer loyalty and ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) for working effectively with others.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and ability to navigate and acquire skills to use internal systems.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High accuracy level.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in Marketing, Business preferred or four (4) years equivalent experience in sales or marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams by answering questions about lumber products, orders, or services.
  • Initiate and track sales orders in internal systems for lumber products and material with accuracy.
  • Maintain customer accounts and monitor customer interaction with details of inquiries or feedback.
  • Track and document sales activities or leads utilizing CRM system where applicable.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ issues or concerns via telephone, email, and messaging with responsive, timely and professional communications.
  • Prepare and compile data, status of accounts, leads, and new customer prospects.
  • Gain knowledge of lumber industry and exposure to customers, products, systems, and terminology.
  • Obtain hands-on experience to transition into a business development capacity focusing on revenue growth.
  • Follow company policies and procedures such as sales reporting, system entry, and credit.
  • Provide ideas, innovation and suggestions for continuous improvement and to maximize sales opportunities.
