About The Position

DUTIES: Deliver engaging, skills-based classroom and hands-on training to service engineers on the installation, verification, and repair of our systems. Monitor and manage trainee learning curves through both individual support and group classroom activities. Translate highly technical concepts into clear, accessible learning materials, transforming traditional classroom training into e-learning modules. Mentor trainees through hands-on exercises using real-life tools to enhance skill development. Provide detailed work instructions to support fieldwork and training exercises. Facilitate accelerated learning, ensuring trainees quickly gain proficiency. Maintain and repair training department equipment, including microscopes, ensuring they are in optimal condition for both training and customer-related processes. REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 3 years of experience as a Test Technician, or a related occupation. Alternative Education and Experience Requirement: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study or related field of study and 1 year of experience as a Test Technician, or a related occupation. Required knowledge or experience with: CEOS Probe corrector operation and alignments; Experience with X-FEG electron source; Titan Themis electron optics alignments; System Testing; Aligning TEM microscopes; Troubleshooting mechanical and software issues related to TEM microscopes; Image and Probe Correctors and; Corrective optics Maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study.
