About The Position

Answers all incoming calls and determines proper routing. Opens and routes correspondence to appropriate collection unit. Resolves patient complaints (e.g. complaints of not receiving statements, etc.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a pleasant telephone voice, proficient verbal skills, and proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are necessary to utilize the PC and calculator.
  • Visual acuity is also necessary for filing and proofing documents.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare business office environment (patient accounting area) preferred.
