About The Position

The Customer Service Specialist position acts as the receptionist for the Program. The Customer Service Specialist is also responsible for providing routine clerical and administrative support with projects as needed. (Some medical office experience a plus)

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Organizational skills and high degree of accuracy.
  • Works cooperatively in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clerical or office experience required.
  • Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements,.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
  • Must be able to pass a seven-year background check.
  • Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).
  • Must be able to pass education verification check.
  • Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
  • If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.
  • If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
  • A Program Support Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process.
  • May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephones and acts as receptionist for program, triages phone calls and gathers pertinent information from callers to accurately log the data elements of each and every call.
  • Performs routine typing and other clerical tasks including organizing, filing, copying and faxing.
  • Maintains an organized office filing system that assures confidentiality of all documents.
  • Ensures the facility reception areas are neat and orderly at all times.
  • Performs functions necessary for the initial registration and inputs individual's data into computer.
  • Oversees the use, maintenance and repair of office equipment.
  • Assists in the ordering and stocking of office supplies as needed.
  • Assists in the process of gathering data necessary to perform billing and audit functions as requested.
  • Maintains petty cash.
  • Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
