About The Position

Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is hiring a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager. This role involves working independently at multiple locations, balancing time between indoor and outdoor tasks. Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections, managing cash drawers and bank deposits, and handling customer payments and collections. The position also requires performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks to ensure the facilities are well-maintained.

Requirements

Successful experience in customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
Valid driver’s license
Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors

Responsibilities

Work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside
Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
