About The Position

Public Storage is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager. This role involves working independently at multiple locations, with time spent both indoors and outdoors. Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, making suggestions, and selling packing and moving supplies. The manager will also conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready for rent. Financial duties include auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits. Additionally, the manager will assist customers with payments and make reminder and collection calls as needed. The position also involves physical tasks such as lifting items, walking around facilities, and performing cleaning and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
  • Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
  • Ability to perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
