About The Position

Public Storage is seeking a Self Storage Manager to work independently at multiple locations. This role involves assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, and conducting daily storage unit inspections to ensure inventory and availability. The manager will also be responsible for auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and managing customer payments, including reminder and collection calls. The position requires spending time both inside and outside the facilities, performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks to maintain the property's appearance.

Requirements

Experience from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
Valid driver’s license
Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors

Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
