About The Position

Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is hiring for a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager. This role involves working independently at multiple locations, engaging in both indoor and outdoor tasks. Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections to ensure readiness for rent, managing financial tasks such as auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits, and handling customer accounts by making reminder and collection calls. The position also requires performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds.

Requirements

Experience in customer service centered sales environments (e.g., retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business.

Responsibilities

Work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside.
Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies.
Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent.
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris.
